This Year at the Lakeshore Thrift Store

The vision of the Holland Rescue Mission is to lead people to changed lives in Christ. They exist to glorify God by proclaiming and demonstrating his love through Christ-centered programs of excellence for the homeless and less fortunate.

Many of the operations performed by the rescue mission are supported by the efforts of restoration donations, auto sales, and thrift stores such as the Lakeshore Rescue Mission Thrift Store.

Because of purchases and donations made to the thrift store, and the other programs, the Holland Rescue Mission has been able to serve our community in ways many people don’t hear about.  In 2014 alone, they were able to provide:

  • 60,285 Bed Nights, which is the number of people lodged each night of the year.
  • 152,246 Total Meals, 90, 066 served the Men’s Ministry Center and 62, 180 served at Family Hope Ministry Center.
  • 42,500 lbs of Clothing, which was baled and sent to third world countries every week from the recycling center.
